Rusty's Air Tube (Air Intake for Wrangler)
So you have your new Wrangler... Just like the factory built it. Now it's time to start making it your own. Where to start.. May I suggest an Air Tube.
For my 2005 Wrangler Unlimited I chose Rusty's Off Road Air Tube. I have purchased other items from Rusty's Off Road in the past with much success. I picked up the air tube for my wrangler for $29.95 and added the larger (6x9) K&N filter for $49.00.
Installation is SIMPLE! Remove the three bolts that hold in the factory air box. Connect the black powder coated air tube from Rusty's Off Road to the end of the factory air tube. One bolt then secures Rusty's air tube to the inner fender of your wrangler. Connect the factory air tube to the back of the Rusty's Air Tube and the K&N filter to the front and you are set.
The great thing about adding a Rusty's Air Tube is that there is power and a more agressive sound from under the hood when you need it and you do not even know it is there unless you are into the throttle. My personal favorite use of the air tube is when getting on the freeway.. Third gear and about 3000 RPM's let you know that the air tube is there!
For under $100 delivered to your door and about 15min of installation time make adding Rusty's air tube to your list of Wrangler modifications well worth it..
